after playing the first world quest of honkai: star rail, i was drawn to dan heng's selflessness. beneath his stoic surface, deep down, dan heng looks after and protects those around him. even when facing his own internal troubles, his first priority is always keeping his loved ones safe.i also adore his verbal quips and his moments of vulnerability that make him feel human. i find his serious and pragmatic nature incredibly charming, always observing and analyzing the situation at hand. his passion for geography, archival work, and other "nerdy" interests, which resonate with my own, utterly endearing.despite his seemingly aloof nature, he always remains attentive to those around him, especially the astral express. the way the he calls them his "once-in-a-lifetime treasures," dreaming of traveling with them forever, never fails to warm my heart. to me, dan heng is proof that you don't have to say much to show that you care. he might not always be the most talkative in the group, but his presence and tenderness are always felt through his actions.lastly, i admire dan heng's character philosophy and how he embodies the vital message of not letting one's past define who they are in the present. while he acknowledges his former self, he understands the value of his own individuality, remaining firm in his own identity. it's dan heng's tenacity, this stubbornness to be known as "himself," that makes him shine.‧₊˚ ⋅♡ special dates♡ dan heng analysis♡ dan heng: imbibitor lunae analysis♡ dan heng collection
